Waxing Q & A
What kinda of wax do you use?
I use a hard wax that only adheres to the hair and not the skin. It is hypoallergenic and cruelty free.
Does it hurt?
Though waxing can be uncomfortable, it is definitely tolerable. You will notice a huge difference in pain level at your second wax. Also exfoliation and remembering not to shave between appointments will help with pain. Please remember each clients tolerance will be different.
How long does my hair need to be?
For first time appointments, I recommend the hair be at least 1/4 of an inch or the size of a piece of rice. For some clients that may be 2 weeks of growth, for others it may be less
How should I prepare for my service?
Be sure to make sure your hair is long enough and exfoliate the night before or 2 days before your appointment
What is my aftercare?
For bikini services please avoid excess sweating, sex, and tanning/sun exposure for 24-48. Be sure to be exfoliating the skin 3-4 times a week between your appointments and make sure you are using a film free body wash.
How often should i be getting waxed?
For most services 3-4 weeks is highly recommended. For some services such as underarms, 2 weeks may be needed
Am I able to wax while pregnant?
Of course! I highly suggest getting started as soon as possible if you are new to waxing. If you currently wax, you can keep your current wax routine. As always be sure to consult with your doctor. You may experience more sensitively while being pregnant.
Am I able to wax while I’m on my period?
Again, of course! Mother nature cannot stop your self care! Keep in mind you could be more sensitive. Please be sure to wear a diva cup or new tampon to your appointment
Can I bring someone into the suite with me for my appointment?
If your appointment requires you to undress to any degree, we do not allow guests. We have found clients have the best waxing experience without an audience. However exceptions can be made for clients under the age of 18 who would like their parent/guardian with them.
