Post-CARE

It is ESSENTIAL that you follow these instructions after your Microblading session.

● REMEMBER: SCABS ARE THE ENEMY!

●DAY 1: 1 hour after the treatment wash your hands thoroughly. Then use your pinkies to cleanse your eyebrows with room temperature water (preferably bottled or filtered water) Removes ALL lymph and previously applied ointment.
Repeat this process 3 more times every half hour for a total of 4 times. Be sure to pat the brows dry each time using a clean paper towel or fan dry. Do this step one more time before heading to bed on night one .

● DAY 2: Wash hands thoroughly and use pinkies to cleanse with after care soap that you were provided. Allow eyebrows to air dry (approximately 15 minutes) or fan dry/ use paper towel before using a Q-tip to apply a VERY THIN layer of ointment that your Artist has given you. Repeat this process 2-4 times during the day (depending on skin type). Continue this for 7 days or until brows are not flakey DO NOT USE TOO MUCH OINTMENT !!

● Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, pool (chlorine is irritating), sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths until area is completely healed.

● Avoid physical effort, gym and any other activity that may cause excessive sweating for a minimum of 7 days or until area is healed. You do not want the brows to get wet outside of the cleaning process. If they get wet while showering; be sure to dry them right away when you exit the shower .

● NO Botox or eyebrow tinting around the brow area for two weeks after
procedure.

● NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

● After the area has healed completely, please use sunblock through the brows when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. (At least SPF 30, if not 50)

● Avoid using any products or makeup on or around the brows for 7 days

The Healing Process

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FIRST 6-8 WEEKS:

The first week is going to be gnarly. Here’s a list of thoughts

that will probably cross your mind:

  • OMG these are way too dark and way too thick

  • What have I done???

  • Why are they staring back at me?

  • I can’t go out like this.. I look crazy.

The good news is, the Intensified color and slight redness are part of the initial stages of healing and will only be from days 2-5. Don’t worry, don’t freak out.. just be patient. This is the initial shock phase and we ask that you just simply trust the process. After 7 days, the brows will fade about 20% and shrink about 10% to a much more natural look. The sensation can be comparable to that of a slight burn and minimal peeling or flaking may take place. Refrain from picking at your brows as you may run the risk of removing pigment in the process.

Healing will vary with skin type, but you may experience color fading and loss of hair strokes. This is completely normal. The touch up session where we can assess your healing and fill in any missing strokes as well as give it a color boost. We can then recommend the best follow up timeline for future appointments.
